A Resident reported today that the dock has been compromised after Idalia and that it is unpassable without repairs. Rob Mathews reported earlier that the pier is scheduled to be replaced the week of Oct. 9. I will make an exploratory trip tomorrow or Wed., (Oct 4th or 5th) to assess whether it’s worth it to do a quick repair to get volunteers on island to get some clean up done in anticipation of re-welcoming residents, returning snowbirds, and guests directly after the pier repairs. If not, the cleanup will be rescheduled for after Oct. 14th. -Lu
