Improvements begin on CHPOA Community Center and Don Pedro dock !!

This past January, the membership of Cape Haze Property Owners Association approved work to be done on the Community Center (CC).  That work will start the week of September 18^th. The initial work will include repairs to the roof and edging, as well as a Lanco white sealing.  This should extend the life of the roof by more than 10 years!  In addition, later this month the CC will be getting a new air conditioner!  Between the upgrade to the roof and the new AC, the CC should be nice and cool for years to come.  Next month, we hope to have the carpentry work completed, followed by painting.  Our goal is that the CC will look great for our November membership meeting.  Let’s hope that the schedule works out for all this work.

At this time, we are not cancelling any scheduled use of the CC.  However, it’s possible there will be days when we might have to close.  Please stay tuned here for any changes.  We thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.

COMMUNITY CENTER CLOSED – OCTOBER 2-6: The air conditioner will be replaced next week. If the work continues past the 6th, or if they finish sooner, we will update you here at that point. thank you.

The Cape Haze Dock on Don Pedro Island is completely INACCESSIBLE at this time AND until after the marine contractor completes their work, which is scheduled to commence the week of Oct. 9th, 2023.  If going by personal watercraft, i.e., canoe, kayak, paddle board be aware that the condition of the path to reach the beach is unknown as the Don Pedro Path Patrol is unable to assess it or work on it until after the dock rebuild is complete.
