Cape Haze Community Center Usage Policy

- The Community Center (and related amenities) is available only to full members of CHPOA, hereafter “the Booking Member”.
- Usage must be booked in advance by completing the online reservation form (located under “Members” after logging on to the website)
- All requests are reviewed, approved, and scheduled by the Community Center Reservation Committee.
- If necessary, existing reservations can be amended or canceled by the Reservation Committee.
- An event will be approved if it is deemed consistent with the CHPOA mission statement.
- The Booking Member will be notified of approval or change as soon as possible (usually within 3 business days).
Cape Haze Community Center Use Rules and Regulations

- The Booking Member shall not use the premises for any unlawful purpose for any reason.
- It is mandatory that the Booking Member be present during the use of the Community Center. The Booking Member may designate another CHPOA member to be present in their absence.
- The Booking Member will not reserve the Community Center on behalf of some other person or group to hold a private event (i.e. where CHPOA Members are not invited).
- Under no circumstances may the Community Center be used to conduct a business or activity where fees are charged directly (e.g. invoice, ePay) or indirectly (e.g. suggested donations, tip jars).
- No disturbing noises shall be made or any act committed which interferes with the rights, comforts or convenience of the other property owners of the community.
- The Booking Member agrees to assume full responsibility for the conduct of his/her guests and will inform them of CHPOA’s Rules and Regulations.
- The Booking Member agrees to assume full responsibility for any damage to the building, furniture, and equipment, including appliances. The Booking Member shall be billed for all damages.
- The Booking Member will be responsible for ensuring all related activities are properly insured to protect CHPOA from liability, as deemed necessary by the CHPOA Board.
- Use of alcoholic beverages shall be in accordance with State and local laws which, among other things, prohibit consumption by individuals under 21 years of age.
- The Booking Member agrees to abide by the Rules and Regulations contained in this application. Should any breach of these Rules and Regulations occur, in the judgment of CHPOA, this Agreement shall be terminated by CHPOA in its sole and absolute discretion.
- The Booking Member agrees to use the Community Center during the agreed hours stated above and leave all doors unlocked at all times. CHPOA representatives have the right to enter at any time. The Booking Member agrees to leave the facilities clean and trash free after use. Any furniture, if moved, must be returned to original position and any decorations taken down.
- The Booking Member agrees to remove all personal property after use of the Community Center. Any items left after use will be considered abandoned. CHPOA is not responsible for the loss of any personal property.
- It is understood that the Booking Member agrees to indemnify Cape Haze Property Owners Association, Inc., its directors, officers, agents and employees, and save them from and against any and all liability, damage, expense, cause of action, suits, claims or judgments arising from injury to person or property occurring in or about the premises and upon adjoining sidewalks, streets or ways which may arise from CHPOA’s ownership of the premises from any action or omission of the Booking Member, its agents, employees, invitees, or licenses, or from any cause
